The Department of Gender Studies, Faculty of Arts and Science at Queen’s University, Canada invites applications for a Tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Assistant Professor with specialization in Critical Race, Gender and Sexuality Studies in Transnational Contexts, with a preferred starting date of July 1, 2015, subject to budgetary approval.
 
To support our interdisciplinary mission we seek a dynamic colleague who demonstrates expertise in critical race theories within one or more of the following areas: feminist, queer or trans studies in transnational contexts. Candidates will be expected to teach courses that critically address questions of oppression and resistance, in the context of imperialism, colonialisms, migration, or border studies transnationally. Preference will be given to candidates whose interests engage questions linked to community-based activism and/or social justice issues.
